Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your MiGo guide will greet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha.
Relax after your flight and enjoy dinner while you prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive before settling into your lodge for the night.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Highlands
Travel toward Ngorongoro, passing through scenic highlands and small farming villages.
Spend the afternoon exploring or relaxing at your lodge overlooking the crater rim.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and onward to Serengeti
Descend into the crater for a morning game drive among lions, buffalo, and perhaps the rare black rhino.
After lunch, continue to the Serengeti, arriving in time for an evening game drive.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, home to incredible wildlife populations.
Look out for the Big 5, cheetahs on the hunt, and immense herds of wildebeest.
Day 6: Explore another area of the Serengeti
Discover a different part of the park, perhaps the river valleys or woodlands, to experience new wildlife and scenery.
Return to camp for a final sunset over the savannah.
Day 7: Return to Arusha and departure
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before your transfer or short flight back to Arusha, where your safari comes to an end, or continues to Zanzibar for a beach extension.
6-day Family-Focused safari

Day 1: Welcome to Arusha
Arrive in Arusha and check into a comfortable lodge with space for the whole family.
Your guide will brief you on the journey ahead before you enjoy dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire for your first game drive. Kids love spotting elephants and giraffes among the towering baobab trees.
Spend the night at a family-friendly lodge with a pool.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Highlands

7-day Kilimanjaro Trek: Rongai Route
Take the road less travelled on Kilimanjaro’s quieter northern slope.
The Rongai Route offers a gradual ascent through forests, moorlands, and alpine desert, perfect for those seeking stunning scenery, fewer crowds, and a good chance of reaching the summit.
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi or Arusha
Arrive in Moshi or Arusha and meet your MiGo mountain guides for a detailed trek briefing and equipment check.
Settle into your lodge and get a good night’s sleep.
Day 2: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Start your adventure on Kilimanjaro’s northern side. After a drive to the Rongai Gate, begin your gentle ascent through lush pine forests.
Keep an eye out for colobus monkeys before reaching Simba Camp for the night.
Elevation: 1,950m to 2,650m | Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Terrain: Montane forest
Day 3: Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp
Climb steadily through open moorland with panoramic views of Kibo and the Eastern Ice Fields.
Arrive at Second Cave Camp in the early afternoon with plenty of time to relax and acclimatize.
Elevation: 2,650m to 3,450m | Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Terrain: Moorland
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Head to Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions and pink flamingos.

Day 4: Second Cave Camp to Kikelewa Camp
Continue through scenic moorland as the trail becomes rockier and more remote.
The short trek to Kikelewa Camp helps your body adjust to higher altitude while you enjoy the mountain’s quiet beauty.
Elevation: 3,450m to 3,600m | Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Terrain: Moorland
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Travel to the Serengeti, stopping along the way for a picnic and cultural visit to a local Maasai village.

Day 5: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn
Follow a steeper trail to Mawenzi Tarn, nestled beneath the jagged peaks of Mawenzi.
The views are spectacular, and the camp’s higher altitude makes it ideal for acclimatization before summit night.
Elevation: 3,600m to 4,330m | Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Terrain: Alpine desert
Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut
Traverse the high alpine saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, a vast, moonlike landscape.
Arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon, have an early dinner, and rest before your midnight summit push.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours | Elevation gain: ~400m | Terrain: Alpine desert
Day 7: Summit Day, Uhuru Peak and Descent
Begin your ascent to the summit just after midnight. After 6–8 hours of steady climbing, reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) in time for a breathtaking sunrise.
Celebrate at the top of Africa, then descend to Horombo Hut for a well-earned rest.
Elevation gain: ~1,175m | Hiking time: 11–14 hours total | Terrain: Alpine desert to montane forest
Day 8: Return to Arusha or Moshi
Hike down to the park gate and return to Arusha or Moshi, completing your Kilimanjaro adventure.
